Big Changes For The Big Bend | Porter's
Dear Porter's Customers,
Porter's has had the pleasure of serving communities in West Texas since 1945. In that time, our company has undergone many changes. Through those changes, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to the communities we serve, the people on our Team, and to offer an exceptional place to shop where we treat customers like family.
Today, we are excited to announce more changes to our company - specifically our locations in the communities of Alpine, Fort Davis, and Presidio, Texas.
As our customers in Presidio are aware, we have been in the process of remodeling the old Shopko building on Highway 67. This location has been completely renovated and offers a new, beautiful place for Presidio and neighboring Ojinaga customers to find their grocery needs. You will find the staples you have come to expect from Porter's, such as fresh produce and cuts of meat, a wide variety of dry goods; you will also find an expanded hot deli section offering up delicious and convenient ready-made meals. Lastly, we are excited to announce we will be serving Hunt Brothers Pizza in Presidio! We are getting close to completion on this project, be sure to subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media as we announce our official opening date.
About 85 miles up Highway 67 in the community of Alpine, we are excited to announce that we will be completely renovating our location on 2nd Street. This process will begin within the next few weeks. This process will not be without its challenges - as we will close down the store and operate all of our business out of the location on E. Sul Ross. We have always believed in putting our best foot forward, and we plan to make this location an exceptional place to shop. We ask that our customers in Alpine bear with us - we understand the enormous amount of trust you put in us to provide you with your grocery essentials. Going down to one location when the community is accustomed to two will definitely increase the traffic experienced at this location. Our Team stands ready to serve you and will work hard to ensure our standards are upheld through this process. The result will be a new location on 2nd Street where we feel customers will be able to find all of their grocery needs and more.
Our last stop is up TX-118 in the community of Fort Davis. We are excited to announce that we have purchased land on State Street and Douglas Drive. Our new building will be built from the ground up to offer our customers a brand new Porter's location to shop. Within the next few months, you will start to see the foundations and frame come to form, and we will share updates along the way.
Change is never easy, and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding while we work hard to make this happen for the communities we serve. We thank you for your trust and for investing in us; we are excited to invest in you with these three new locations to serve you for years to come.
