Our Commitment To You - COVID-19 Procedures
Dear Customers,
There isn’t much to be said that hasn’t already been said regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we are currently facing. We would like to assure you that we are still just as committed to providing the same great service & products you know and expect from Porter’s as we always have been.
Part of that service is ensuring that our customers have a clean and safe place to buy groceries. A few things we have done: • We have already implemented measures to ensure we are following all CDC guidelines and recommendations. • We have committed to increasing the frequency in which we clean high-traffic surfaces. • We are working to provide disinfectant wipes for customers to use on carts before they begin shopping (please note that we are facing shortages on these types of product due to increased demand nationwide). • We are doing everything we can to protect both our customers and our Team Members by monitoring and encouraging the practice of proper hygiene.
Temporary Store Hours (Effective March 18, 2020)

Beginning Wednesday March 18th, all of our locations will be operating at shorter hours temporarily. We will be implementing these new hours to give our Team Members time to clean our stores, as well as stock our trucks more efficiently. In doing this, we hope to have less Team Members on the aisles to allow customers to shop more effectively and reduce the potential for the spread of germs. The new hours will be 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM every day. In addition to these new hours, we are also implementing Senior Hour, which will be every day from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM. We will not be enforcing this at store level, but we ask that our customers plan their shopping around this time to allow our more susceptible customers to shop. While we understand the inconvenience for these changes, we appreciate your understanding during this time.

Temporary suspension of Weekly Ads
Because of the increased demand on our warehouse, and our stores, we have made the decision to suspend Weekly Ads beginning March 18th for our stores located in Alpine, Fort Davis, Marfa, Presidio, & Van Horn and beginning March 23rd in Andrews, Big Spring, Crane, & Seminole.
Our warehouse is doing its best to keep up with the increased demand during this time, but we are facing shortages on products and some products we are no longer able to receive the discounts needed to run them on Ad each week. We want to clarify for our customers that we will still do our very best to bring products to you at the best price we possibly can during this time. We know how important it is to not only find the products you need, but at the price that makes sense for you and your family.
We will resume Weekly Ads as soon as we possibly can. We thank you for your understanding during this time.
Lastly, we also want to clarify that many items are still readily available and we are doing our best to provide these products to the communities we serve. We encourage our customers to get what they need, but don’t feel that you must stockpile any items, because we are confident that we will be stocking these items on our future shipments. Most locations receive between 3-6 trucks per week - we will do our best to ensure our customers can get what they need.
As always, we thank our customers for their continued support and understanding as we weather this season, together.
Sincerely, The Porter’s Team
